SACME 2025 Registration Policies |
Refund PolicyRefund requests must be made in writing to SACME Headquarters on or prior to 3 March 2025. A 75% refund of the Annual Meeting registration fees will be given for cancellations received on or prior to 3 March 2025. No refunds will be made after 3 March 2025. No refunds will be made to individuals who attend a portion of the Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting organizers reserve the right to substitute faculty, or cancel or reschedule sessions (because of low enrollment or other circumstances). If the organizers must cancel the Annual Meeting in its entirety, SACME may refund the appropriate registration fees to all Annual Meeting registrants. Refunds in Case of EmergencyIf you are unable to attend the workshop(s) or the Annual Meeting based on serious illness or death (of self or a family member), a partial refund (amount paid minus a $55 processing charge) may be granted. Emergency refund requests must be made in writing to SACME Headquarters at the following address. All requests are reviewed to ensure compliance with policy. Substitution PolicyIf you are unable to attend workshops or the Annual Meeting, you are welcome to substitute a colleague in your place. There is no fee to make this change up to 3 March 2025. Substitutions after 3 March 2025 will incur a $55.00 processing fee. Returned Check PolicyRemittance must be made in U.S. Dollars to the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME). A $25.00 surcharge may be assessed to cover any collection fees. Important Payment NoteThe registration form must be accompanied by your credit card information or check in full payment of all applicable fees. All non-U.S. registrants will be charged the U.S. Dollar equivalent at the time the charge is processed unless otherwise indicated. To qualify for early registration rates, complete registration including payment must be submitted online, faxed or postmarked no later than 3 February 2025. ExhibitorsExhibitors are subject to the same refund and substitution policies above. However, exhibitors do not quality for refunds in case of emergency with the belief that an exhibiting organization can send another representative if the original representative is unable to attend. Code of ConductThe Annual Meeting organizers are committed to providing a professional, collegial, safe, supportive, and respectful meeting environment, regardless of a person’s race, color, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship status, age, religion, disability status, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, genetic information, physical appearance, or other characteristic (“personal characteristics”). The Annual Meeting organizers expect individuals to uphold the professional and educational purposes of the Annual Meeting by respecting the rights, privacy, safety, and dignity of all persons. The Annual Meeting organizers expect individuals to exercise professionalism, consideration, and respect in their speech and actions. The Annual Meeting organizers expect individuals to refrain from harassing speech and other harassing behavior. Any persons determined to be behaving inappropriately in any portion of the Annual Meeting environment by the SACME Executive Planning Committee may be temporarily or permanently removed from the Annual Meeting environment.
