Program Overview ![]() SACME’s mission is to foster scholarship in CPD/CE to advance health equity, practice and value of CPD/CE, clinician practice and well-being, and patient care and health of the public through leadership and collaboration. Scholarship in CPD/CE is critical for capacity building, to communicate the effectiveness of programs, and to disseminate promising practices in CPD/CE. The SACME Certificate of Recognition Program’s aims are to recognize SACME members who engage in educational activities designed to increase the knowledge and skills needed to perform scholarship and research in CPD/CE and to recognize its members who engage in their professional development in CPD/CE scholarship through SACME. Program Components The SACME Certificate of Recognition Program is a multi-faceted program that includes a flexible and need-based longitudinal approach to professional development in CPD/CE scholarship. Only SACME-sponsored educational offerings in CPD/CE scholarship are eligible for this program. View the menu of eligible activities below. More eligible activities to be added in 2025-2026. | Participants This program is offered only to SACME members. Participants at all stages of their professional development in CPD/CE scholarship are eligible to participate and invited to complete an application at the link below to indicate their interest. Submit an Application Program Dates This program begins at the 2025 SACME Annual Meeting, March 16-19, 2025. It is designed to be flexible with no time limit for participants to complete the program. Fees There is no charge to SACME members for participating in this program. Pre-conference workshop, virtual workshop, SACME Annual Meeting, and other registration fees for eligible activities may apply. Certificate of Recognition A certificate of recognition will be issued to all participants finishing the program, as determined by completing 15 hours of SACME-eligible professional development activities in CPD/CE scholarship and completion of a reflection summary. Participants who have completed the program will be recognized at the SACME Annual Meeting.
