Charge:
The Scholarship Committee ensures that SACME members have opportunities to learn the scholarly approaches to doing and assessing CME/CPD. The goal of the committee is to foster scholarship through education, mentoring, and support of both novice and experienced scholars.
The charge to the SACME Scholarship Committee is to provide guidance to the SACME Board in growing and maintaining SACME’s role as the international academic leader in CME/CPD scholarship. Members work in subcommittees to:
Work of the Scholarship Committee is organized under three active subcommittees.
Status of the Discipline
Advance research in the discipline of CPD by assessing, defining, and reporting on the status of the discipline.
Capacity Building
Build the competency of members to perform scholarly activities including CPD research.
Review abstracts and enable members’ research and best practice presentations, identify and recognize outstanding presentations, and grant awards including the Manning and Mazmanian Awards.
Meeting Attendance: Open to all SACME members who are interested in CME/CPD scholarship.
