Joanne Goldman, PhD


Teena Nelson, MHA

Joanne Goldman, PhD, is a Scientist at Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety and at the Wilson Centre, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, and has an appointment
at the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. Joanne’s research program spans the fields of quality and safety of healthcare, health professions education, interprofessional education and collaboration, and qualitative health research.
Teena Nelson, MHA, has a background that includes more than 20 years in quality/performance improvement (QI/PI), continuing medical education (CME/CPD), and maintenance of certification planning and execution. Teena has provided support to, and management and direction of, the ABMS Portfolio Program since 2014. Prior to that, Teena was in charge of PI CME and the Portfolio Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and served as a combat medic in the United States Army. Ms. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from AT Still University of Health Sciences.
