SACME Annual Conference Workshop 8

This workshop will provide clinicians and researchers with the knowledge and tools to  successfully evaluate and disseminate an innovation or professional development program. The  recent editorial, “Recommendations for Publishing Innovation Reports” in the Journal of  Continuing Education in the Health Professions 43(2): 73-76, Spring 2023. DOI:  10.1097/CEH.0000000000000515, will be used to guide the discussion and activities. A key  message of this workshop will be to evaluate the sustainability and longevity of an innovation, with particular attention to using Hamza and Regehr’s Eco-normalization Framework. Exemplary  innovations will be presented and discussed with an opportunity for participants to outline  evaluation plans for their own innovations or CPD programs. Finally, some tips for disseminating  innovations and program evaluations will be shared.
